In the first Take Fo Records comp, I went over most of their roster, but, yet, I've omitted a few names like Da' Sha' Ra', only one song here, as I’ll admit not being a big fan, but it was still important to get some on this one. The girls trio was the very group to be on Take Fo’ Records, making them an important part of that history.
On the contrary, they were short lived and may be not as important in Take Fo story, but War Time is another name I didn’t mention in the first tribute. They didn’t release much music as a group, but, to me, this group's released one of the best album to ever come out of that label, and surprisingly, it’s not even a bounce album.
There are more in here, with again a mix of straight bounce from the usual suspects like Jubilee, Pucket, among others, and little variations like the more street vibe of a 7th Ward Soulja to the R&B of Lisa Amos who was the sole singer to ever release an album on the imprint.
So here you go for a second hour of nothing but classic jams from the Take Fo family.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
