With an Oscar and other awards for Common, Rhymefest for their work on Selma's soundtrack, Lupe Fiasco releasing what could possibly be the best album of the year and maybe beyond, Kanye West always making headlines for fashion or music, and many indies such as Wicked Entertainment making big moves, it’s definitely gonna the year of the Chi.
Chicago didn’t get there just by luck, though, if you follow RGS, you know the Hip-Hop history is deep over there and to put some visuals on just every aspect of the local scene, Midway is cooking a documentary contemplating the full story of Hip-Hop in the biggest northern city.
While the documentary won’t be ready before 2017, Midway will give us glimpses of what's coming with a series of vignettes that they’ll regularly release on their youtube page.
