Making a lot of noise regionally with his self-titled debut album on the NOLA indie label Big Boy, majors quickly came knocking at the door, and Mystikal ended with Jive, who re-released and renamed his first album (Mind Of Mystikal) for a national release.
After that, it didn't take long for Mystikal to catch some nationwide attention, and to be snatched by Master P to become one of the flagship artists of the -then- emerging label that was No Limit.
This alliance proved to be beneficial for both parts as Mystikal became even more successful, really establishing his brand to the masses, and helping the tank on its way to the top by releasing two platinum albums for the label, starting with the great Unpredictable in 1997, and Ghetto Fabulous the next year.
Beyond albums, like most tank artists, during his three or four years stay with NL, he'd also appeared on a lot of projects outside of his own. From classics like Snoop's Woof!, Silkk's It Ain't My Fault, jsut to name a couple to lesser known (or remembered) gems like Lil Italy's We Ain't Hard 2 Find or Fiend's Akn Bad, he left tons of dope tracks.
