I’m a rap nerd ! I just love Hip-Hop, and I have a certain penchant for independent and regional rap scenes. I spent most of the 90s and early 00s collecting albums, digging thru endless stores’ shelves and websites and blogs to find some of the rarest, most obscur records.
So I thought, it’d be cool to share some of the good things i stumbled upon and amassed throughout the years, and thought this was the best way to do it.
I won’t give this site no real direction right now and maybe ever, just going with what I wanna listen to, share or have in mind at the moment to help you discover or rediscover some good ol' forgotten rap tunes for the most part with an heavy focus on the American independent rap scene. But, not only, I’ll also try to cover many different things…
I can’t really say much about what you should expect, except for good rap music or at least what i consider to be it, regional stuff, indie, legendary MCs, dirty south, midwest, west, and east…
Now, on the how I’ll do. Easy, it will be thru mixed compilations but know that I’m NOT a DJ! And not trying to be one!
But doing mixes/compilations was to me the best way to share what I wanted, and I’ll do my best to make those compilations as good as possible, but don’t be too harsh right now, I’m still learning.
As you've also probably already noticed, I'm no artwork designer or photoshop specialist either, so if you ever have free time and good ideas for some covers, get at me!
